Shiofune Kannon Temple – Azaleas

Known as the “Temple of Flowers and History,” Shiofune Kannon bursts into color each spring. About 20,000 azaleas bloom from late April to early May, covering the area in vibrant shades of red and purple. Surrounded by this floral carpet, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking, almost dreamlike view, experiencing both prayer and the beauty of the season in one special springtime visit.
